Former White House staffer: Beef between Bannon, Kushner is over

Former White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Implementation Katie Walsh said the friction between chief strategist Steve Bannon and senior adviser Jared Kushner is “absolutely” in the past, during an interview Monday evening.

“I know Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner. They’re all working really well – the three of them [including Chief of Staff Reince Priebus] – to get this done,” Walsh told Fox News host Martha MacCallum.

Walsh denied recent reports that Priebus had been on the chopping block if the revised American Health Care Act failed to pass in the House last week.

“I can’t imagine that’s the situation. I talked to Reince on an almost daily basis. I was in a rock-solid relationship with the president,” said Walsh.

Walsh became one of the first White House staffers to leave her post in the midst of the healthcare debacle. She said she believed she could be a stronger asset to the Trump administration from the outside of the White House as senior adviser for America First Policies.
