One America News Network (OANN) deleted a report claiming ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page had an affair with former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.
Page fell into the national spotlight after her text messages with former FBI agent Peter Strzok revealed anti-Trump sentiments, including an “insurance policy” to investigate President Trump if he won the election in 2016.
Page and Strzok had been having an affair, which was detailed in the text messages, as well.
In a recent broadcast, OANN correspondent Chanel Rion was trying to connect the FBI to accusations that the agency had framed former national security adviser Michael Flynn. During the report, Rion claimed Page was having affairs with both McCabe and Strzok.
“Lisa Page carried on an affair with both Deputy Director McCabe and Strzok, and as lovers-three, their text messages paint a now-infamous portrait of elitist intervention and collusion to derail a U.S. presidential candidate,” Rion said in the broadcast.
McCabe was deputy director at the time of the affair, but there is no evidence that he was ever romantically involved with Page.
On Sunday, OANN’s broadcast had been stripped from YouTube without explanation. On Monday, OANN host Jack Posobiec explained that the network had fully retracted the report.

OANN has faced criticism for false reporting in the past, even suing The Daily Beast after the outlet claimed OANN was Russian propaganda.
