Investigative reporter Ronan Farrow, who broke a series of sexual misconduct allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, is making light of low ratings for his onetime show on MSNBC.
“Reading headlines in the middle of the day, watched by two people, one of them my mom,” Farrow said about the show “Ronan Farrow Daily,” according to GQ.
“Ronan Farrow Daily” ran from February 2014 to February 2015 and was ultimately canceled. During that year, there were several months where the show failed to bring more than 50,000 viewers between the ages of 25 and 54, according to Nielsen data.
He then worked as an investigative reporter for NBC News and the “Today” show, where he started to report on sexual misconduct allegations against Weinstein.
NBC refused to air the story, and a written article about Weinstein was published by the New Yorker. He’s also reported on other sexual misconduct allegations, including those against former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and former CBS CEO Les Moonves.
Before Farrow’s move to journalism, the son of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen graduated from Yale Law School before working in the State Department during the Obama administration. He later worked as an adviser to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on global youth issues.
