Rex Tillerson is vacationing in Texas: Report

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is taking time off and spending it in his home state of Texas.

Tillerson left Washington, D.C., for the Lone Star State, Vice reported.

Earlier Tuesday, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said he was “taking a little time off.”

“He does have the ability to go away for a few days on his own,” Nauert said. “He’s got a lot of work, he just came back from that mega-trip overseas … so he’s entitled to take a few days for himself.”

The vacation comes amid rumors that frustration with President Trump may have Tillerson considering leaving the administration.

Nauert dismissed the rumors.

On Wednesday, Tillerson will be back to work in Washington. He is scheduled to meet with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the State Department. In the afternoon, he will meet with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
