Former NFL star-turned-TV personality Michael Strahan announced Tuesday that he is going to space.
The Super Bowl champion is set to lift during Blue Origin’s Dec. 9 launch, he said.
“I wanted to go to space. I think being there at the first launch was just mind-blowing,” Strahan said. “I just wanted to be a part of it.”
Strahan stands over 6 feet tall and required a special space suit to be made, according to a report.

Strahan will be joined by Laura Shepard, the daughter of the first American to go to space, Lane and Cameron Bess, investor Evan Dick, and philanthropist Dylan Taylor.
It’s “a great team,” Strahan said.
