‘Not very smart people’: Ann Coulter says she doesn’t watch Fox News while taking shots at network

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter has harsh words for the nation’s largest right-leaning cable news network.

“I don’t watch Fox News,” she explained, in a Tuesday interview with the Daily Caller’s Derek Hunter. “I read my own Twitter feed so I know what they’re going to be saying two days in advance. You’re going to save a lot of time just following a few of the right people on Twitter, where all of the show prep takes place at Fox News. Watered down and then uttered by not very smart people.”

Coulter shared the anecdote after she was asked about a segment from Fox News Sunday regarding press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. In the relevant clip, the Dispatch’s Jonah Goldberg and host Chris Wallace condemned the White House spokeswoman for telling reporters what questions they should ask her during Friday’s briefing.

The conservative commentator proceeded to defend McEnany, calling her “fantastic” and “magnificent” and said Goldberg should not be perceived as “erudite.” Coulter also said that if she watches any cable news, it’s usually MSNBC for “entertainment,” specifically identifying two network hosts that she tunes into: Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid.

Over the weekend, she attacked President Trump after he told Alabama voters not to trust “slime” former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who is running for his old Senate seat because he recused himself from the Russia investigation and “ruined many lives.”

“The most disloyal actual retard that has ever set foot in the Oval Office is trying to lose AND take the Senate with him,” she said.
