The actor who brought the J.R.R. Tolkien character of Gollum to life put his special spin on a series of President Trump’s tweets Tuesday as he did to “The Lord of the Rings” scripts that made him famous.
Actor Andy Serkis read some of Trump’s “fake news media” tweets in the voice of Gollum at the request of comedian Stephen Colbert on an episode of CBS’s “The Late Show.”
“Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” Serkis read. “Wait! What’s covfefe, precious?” he added.
“No one knows,” Colbert responded. “I’ve got to say they actually sound better that way.”
