The D.C. Council was running behind schedule Tuesday ahead of its final vote on the District’s $9 billion budget for 2013.
Although lawmakers were set to meet for breakfast at 8:30 a.m., Council Chairman Kwame Brown entered the room at 10:05 a.m.
Brown’s spokeswoman declined to elaborate about the reasons for the delay.
In addition to the budget, lawmakers are also set to consider paying city workers for furlough days they were forced to take last year.
