St. Martin’s Press announced Wednesday that former United Nations ambassador and South Carolina governor, Nikki Haley, has a book being released this fall which is being advertised as “deeply personal,” digging into her “challenges” during her time in public office.
“I was blessed to serve during some momentous times as governor of South Carolina and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations,” Haley said in a statement.
“There were tragedies and triumphs, but through it all my love for America has only grown. My hope with this book is to give people a unique window into recent history and inspire us toward a better future,” she added.
The book, which is untitled at this time, will focus on her time as both ambassador and governor, and discuss “the consequential actions, decisions, confrontations, and behind-the-scenes negotiations that shaped national and world events.”
In 2012, Haley wrote the book Can’t Is Not An Option, a memoir described as a “testament to the power of determination, faith, and family.”
Haley left her position as UN ambassador last fall with speculation that she is laying the foundation for a 2024 run for president.
