Authorities have identified a body found in the Prosser Reservoir in Truckee, California, as 16-year-old Kiely Rodni, who went missing on Aug. 6.
The Nevada County and Placer County sheriffs’ departments jointly announced that the body discovered in an SUV 14 feet underwater in the reservoir Sunday was Rodni following an autopsy.

Both sheriffs’ departments said they are in communication with Rodni’s family. No further details were released by either department as the investigation is still ongoing.
Adventures With Purpose, a search-and-rescue team, joined the search for Rodni on Friday. The group claimed to have found Rodni on Sunday, a discovery now confirmed by law enforcement.

Rodni went missing after last being seen on Aug. 5 at the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, California, located a few miles north of Lake Tahoe, after attending a party of approximately 200 to 300 people.
