Supporters of President Trump chanted “Superman” during a rally in Arizona when the president spoke about his recovery from the coronavirus.
“People are pandemic’d-out. You know that? They’re pandemic’d-out. That’s why it’s so great what your governor has done. He’s opened up your state,” Trump said at the rally in Tucson. “I’m here. And now I’m immune. I can jump into this audience and kiss every man and woman. I’m immune.”
“I woke up the next morning, and I was like, I felt like Superman,” Trump said to the crowd in Tucson, referring to how he felt after he took medications. “Get me out of here, I said, ‘Get me out of here.’”
The crowd then erupted, chanting “Superman.”

The crowd also chanted “USA” and “we love you” during the rally.
Trump responded to the crowd’s cheers: “Don’t make me cry.”
Trump recovered from COVID-19 earlier this month after both he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for the virus. He has since gone back to the campaign trail, traveling across the country for events.
