Cardi B threatens to ‘dog walk’ Tomi Lahren in Twitter fight over government shutdown

Rapper Cardi B got into a Twitter fight with Fox Nation host Tomi Lahren over the partial government shutdown.

In an exchange that began with Lahren mocking Cardi B for a recent viral video lamenting how thousands of federal government employees are working without pay, the entertainer lobbed a threat at the conservative commentator.

“Leave me alone I will dog walk you,” Cardi B tweeted at Lahren.

“Dog walk” is a slang term for a beating, according to a consensus of definitions on Urban Dictionary.

“I’m sure you would. Still doesn’t make your political rambling any less moronic,” Lahren tweeted back along with a hashtag supporting President Trump’s border wall, the centerpiece behind the shutdown standoff between the president, who is demanding $5.7 billion in border wall funding, and Democrats, who refuse to pass any spending bill with that money attached.

“You’re so blinded with racism that you don’t even realize the decisions the president you root for is destroying the country you claim to love so much .You are a perfect example on no matter how educated or smart you think you are you still a SHEEP!,” Cardi B tweeted in response.

Cardi B went on to engage with another user who brought up taxes.

“Im paying about 4 million in taxes this year so most likely I am Paying for your insurance ….That’s if your favorite president don’t take my tax money for his wall Mr white bread,” Cardi B replied to the user with the Twitter handle @chris85pavone.

Lahren seized on Cardi B’s tweet, arguing that “high taxes” are the bedrock of the Democratic Party.

“You do realize these high taxes you complain about are the bedrock of the Democratic Party, right? If you want lower taxes and more economic freedom, beware of the party you are rooting for,” Lahren tweeted.

The back-and-forth spat began when Lahren tweeted about a video that Cardi B put up on Jan. 16 in which the rapper expressed anger over federal workers being forced to work without pay during the shutdown.

“Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA! Keep it up, guys!” Lahren tweeted shortly after Cardi B’s video came out.

Cardi B’s video, posted on Twitter as well as Instagram, received attention from Democratic lawmakers as they jokingly considered retweeting the video as it supported an end to the shutdown without wall funding.
