Metro got more tricks than treats on Halloween night, after a mob of teens brawled in the Foggy Bottom station.
The crowd of “several dozen” teens started fighting outside the Orange and Blue line station around 10 p.m. on their way back from Georgetown, Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said. The fight then spilled down into the station.
Both Metro Transit Police and D.C.’s Metropolitan Police responded. Pepper spray was released into the crowd, though Stessel said it was not clear if the cops or one of the teens did it. No one was arrested, Stessel said.
Separately, a teen shot outside the New York Avenue Metro station ran to the station entrance for help around 8:35 p.m. The area was cordoned off because of blood, but the shooting itself happened in the 100 block of M Street Northeast, Stessel said.
