Two Democratic members of the House of Representatives have said Eric Shinseki, the secretary of Veterans Affairs, should resign amid reports of the neglect of sick and injured veterans at VA hospitals around the country.
John Barrow and David Scott, both of Georgia, have said Shinseki ought to step down. Scott also indicated he believes there’s no need for another internal review, despite President Obama’s call for such. Jamie Dupree reports:

In a press briefing Wednesday morning, President Obama praised Shinseki for his leadership at the department, despite reports that 40 veterans in Phoenix died waiting for care at VA hospitals there.
