Rubio fires back at Trump: When have our politicians poisoned opponents?

Sen. Marco Rubio defended the United States after President Trump, in response to a question about alleged murders carried out by the Russian state, questioned America’s innocence.

“When has a Democratic political activists been poisoned by the GOP, or vice versa? We are not the same as #Putin,” the Florida Republican tweeted Sunday.

In an interview clip released Saturday by Fox News, Bill O’Reilly questioned why Trump respects Putin.

“Well, I respect a lot of people but that doesn’t mean I’m going to get along with him,” Trump said. “He’s a leader of his country. I say it’s better to get along with Russia than not. And if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS, which is a major fight, and Islamic terrorism all over the world — that’s a good thing.”

He added: “Will I get along with him? I have no idea.”

“But he’s a killer though. Putin’s a killer,” O’Reilly pushed back.

“There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers,” Trump replied. “What do you think — our country’s so innocent?”
