Severe weather tore its way through eight states Wednesday, with tornado watches still in effect for parts of several states through the night.

A possible tornado touched down in Springdale, Arkansas, at roughly 4 a.m. Wednesday. A total of seven people, two of whom are in critical condition, have been taken to area hospitals, with no fatalities reported so far, according to a statement from Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse on social media.
