Rapper Kanye West was temporarily locked out of his Twitter account after posting personal information of a Forbes editor.
On Wednesday, conservative commentator Candace Owens tweeted that West asked her to notify followers he was locked out of his account on the social media site. A Twitter spokesman confirmed to the Washington Examiner that the company made the move after he shared what was reportedly the telephone number of Randall Lane, editor of Forbes magazine and chief content officer of Forbes Media.
“The Tweet was removed for posting private information, and the account has been temporarily locked in accordance with our Private Information policy,” a Twitter spokesman said in a statement.
Twitter could not provide further comment when asked how long West would be locked out of his account.
Earlier Wednesday, West tweeted the message, “If any of my fans want to call a white supremacist … this is the editor of Forbes” to his 30.9 million followers with Lane’s phone number attached. The rapper also said he “forgives” those in the music industry he said participated in “modern day slavery.”
“Vengeance is only the lords,” West wrote.
I forgive everyone from the music industry that is involved with modern day slavery. Vengeance is only the lords.

The news comes amid the rapper-turned-presidential candidate’s struggle to make ballots in multiple states, including Ohio, Arizona, and Virginia. Though he is set to appear as an independent presidential candidate in states such as Colorado, Utah, and Oklahoma.
