Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, are expecting their third child.
“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news,” the palace said in a statement Monday.
Kate is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness she experienced during her previous pregnancies.
William and Kate married in 2011 and have two children: George, 4, and Charlotte, 2. Their third child will be fifth in line to the throne behind grandfather Charles, Prince of Wales; father William; and siblings.
Thursday marked the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
On Friday, Queen Elizabeth II sent condolences to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
