ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Nominations are being accepted for the Florida Lifetime Achievement Award for Writing.
The award recognizes a living author for a body of work that is judged to be distinguished and influential to Floridians. The winner must reside in Florida.
Publishers, agents, book sellers, colleagues and others may nominate candidates. Self-nominations are not permitted.
Send entries to Florida Lifetime Achievement Award for Writing, c/o Florida Humanities Council, 599 Second St. S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701-5005.
The judging panel will include representatives from the Florida Humanities Council, the Florida Book Awards, the Florida Historical Society, the Florida Center for the Literary Arts and the Florida Literary Arts Coalition. The winner will be announced in March at the Florida Heritage Awards.
