Perhaps the Onion really is “America’s Finest News Source,” at least when it comes to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Consider this prescient headline: “Massive Flow Of Bullshit Continues To Gush From BP Headquarters.”
And a little graphic, showing the Gulf coast with arrows pointing toward mainland, has this cutline: “Dense streams of shit are expected to continue spreading throughout the region and the entire United States.”
For all the words written about the oil spill these last 6 or 7 weeks, very few have cut to the chase in quite the same way as the Onion‘s.
