First lady Melania Trump remained in Florida on Sunday as President Trump boarded Air Force One for the return trip back to Washington, D.C.
“The first lady will be staying in Florida as is their tradition for spring break,” White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters wrote in response to questions regarding Melania Trump’s travel arrangements.
The first family traveled to their Mar-A-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., Friday ahead of the March For Our Lives rally in Washington Saturday.
The separate travel plans precedes a highly anticipated TV interview in which porn star Stormy Daniels is expected to detail her alleged extramarital affair with the president shortly after his marriage to third wife Melania Trump and the birth of their only son Barron Trump.
The White House has denied that any relationship existed between Trump and Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.
