A vaccinated NFL player was hospitalized Tuesday due to COVID-19.
Minnesota Vikings offensive guard Dakota Dozier, 30, had trouble breathing, according to a report citing Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer.
“It’s serious stuff, so I don’t know,” Zimmer said. “Like 29 guys are getting tested because of close contact, including myself. Just do what we do.”

The question was raised if Dozier’s condition resulted from a bad reaction to a vaccine booster, ESPN reported. Zimmer denied the suggestion.
“No, it was COVID,” Zimmer said. “I’m not a doctor, but it was COVID pneumonia or something — he had a hard time breathing.”
As of Wednesday, five Vikings players were on the team’s COVID-19/reserve list, the report stated.
