Actress Lori Loughlin has landed her first movie role since the college admissions scandal.
She will star in the romantic comedy Fall Into Winter on the GAC Family network, the rival to the Hallmark Channel that launched in 2021.

“Lori is a genre-defining star that I have had the honor to call a close friend and collaborator for more than 15 years,” Bill Abbott, president and CEO of Great American Media, said in a statement. “We have a shared vision for creating meaningful and memorable movies that resonate with our passionate fans, and I look forward to welcoming her back to Great American Family to anchor our 2023 winter programming slate.”
In the film, Loughlin will play “Keely,” who is shocked when her brother sells his half of their family-owned, upscale candy shop to his high school best friend, who just happens to be her nemesis. The two now have “a sudden urgency to find connection and common ground.”
Last year, Loughlin made her debut on the network, starring in When Hope Calls Christmas, a spinoff of When Calls the Heart.
Abbott recently said Loughlin would be a “face of the network,” which also features her Full House and Fuller House co-star Candace Cameron Bure among other former Hallmark Channel stars who left when it began embracing same-sex storylines and sponsors promoting the LGBT community.
GAC will launch a free app on Sept. 26 that will be available on all major platforms to reach people who don’t have cable.
