Comcast shows scholarship info

Watching television could help some students pay for college.

Students in the Baltimore area who have Comcast digital cable can tune to “Scholarships on Demand” anytime to access videos about local resources and scholarships that can help defray the high cost of higher education in a crumbling economy.

The feature has financial aid and scholarship information from local organizations and schools including the College Bound Foundation, Scholarships for Scholars, Southern Maryland College Access Network, the Carson Scholars Program and community colleges throughout the state.

To view the information, Comcast customers with digital cable should go to the “Get Local” section of the On Demand menu under “Education Update.” – Mike Silvestri
