Cissy: ‘I did the best I could’ with Whitney

Cissy Houston, Whitney Houston’s mother, is speaking out for the first time since her daughter’s death on Feb. 11 at a Beverly Hills hotel one day before the Grammys.

“I know I did the best I could. … I don’t blame myself,” Cissy said in the interview with Brenda Blackmon of My9 in New Jersey. “I know I did the best I could for everything.”

According to People magazine, Cissy did the interview at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J., where Whitney’s funeral was held.

“I have my moments,” Cissy said about dealing with the grief of losing a child. “I don’t think I’m any more courageous than anyone else.”

According to People, Cissy went on to say that there was one rumor that is totally false surrounding the death of her only daughter.

“Whitney did not die broke … she’s not broke. None of that crap.”

Kim at No. 1 on Forbes’ most overexposed celebs list

Do we see too much of Kim Kardashian? Yes. And now, there’s proof.

Forbes put out a list of the most overexposed celebrities, and to the surprise of no one, Kim came in at No. 1.

A survey conducted by E-Poll Research found that 65 percent of survey respondents said they believe we’ve overindulged in Ms. Kim K.

Considering in 2011 Kim was on several reality shows with members of her family, it’s not surprising that two of her sisters made the top 10 list as well.

What likely propelled Kim to the top spot was when she married NBA basketball player Kris Humphries and then filed for divorce from him 72 days later (all while the cameras were rolling), causing speculation that the whole thing was staged for publicity.

The survey ranked more than 6,600 celebrities. Here are the top 10:

1. Kim Kardashian

2. (tie) Lindsay Lohan

2. (tie) Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi

4. Nadya “Octomom” Suleman

5. Paris Hilton

6. Kate Gosselin

7. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino

8. Kourtney Kardashian

9. (tie) Levi Johnston

9. (tie) Khloe Kardashian

Now if only Forbes gave some advice on how to cure this overexposure.
