Meghan McCain asked God to “help” the invididual who reportedly called for her father to die during a Trump rally in Phoenix, Ariz., on Tuesday.
“I wouldn’t wish seeing this about your own father on my worst enemy. May God help these people who inflict such cruelty in the world,” McCain tweeted.
The comments came after U.S. News & World Report senior reporter David Catanese shared a photo on Twitter, observing that a Trump supporter outside of the Trump rally was allegedly shouting: “[Sen. John] McCain needs to die now!”

McCain has been targeted by President Trump his vote helped kill legislation aimed at repealing and replacing Obamacare.
Although Trump did not name McCain during his rally on Tuesday, he did refer to the healthcare vote: “One vote away! I will not mention any names. Very presidential, isn’t it?”
Sen. McCain is currently receiving chemotherapy treatment for brain cancer.
