MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — About $500,000 in private gifts is helping to support science, technology, engineering and math education programs at West Virginia University.

Officials say the donations through the WVU Foundation’s State of Minds will support scholarships and the renovation of a learning laboratory classroom in Allen Hall.
