WASHINGTON (AP) — The Democrats’ committee to elect governors says it raised almost $20 million in July, August and September.
The Democratic Governors Association on Tuesday also said it has raised $47 million this year. The group did not say how much money it had on hand, making it impossible to know how much it spent during that same period.
Its GOP rival, the Republican Governors Association, has not yet released its fundraising summary for the three-month quarter that ended on Sept. 30. The RGA typically outraises the DGA by a 2-to-1 margin.
Voters will elect governors in 36 states on Nov. 4.
