Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responded to claims from her opponent Donald Trump that she is coming to take the country’s guns by saying she supports the right to bear arms.
“I support the Second Amendment,” she said. “I lived in Arkansas for 18 wonderful years, I represented Upstate New York. I understand and respect the tradition of gun ownership that goes back to the founding of our country.”
Clinton has been accused by Trump of wanting to abolish the Second Amendment during the general election campaign. She repeated her thoughts that she does want stricter regulations on who can own guns.
