An Annapolis man went on trial Wednesday for the shooting of 23-year-old Terrance Powell in a dispute over a cellular telephone.
Andrew Tuell, 19, was charged as an adult with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Powell at College Creek Terrace in February, according to court records. Tuell reportedly shot Powell to get back his friend?s cell phone.
Tuell was arrested March 9 in West Valley City, Utah. He also was charged with use of a handgun in a crime of violence.
The jury trial is expected to end Friday.
