In the trial of the three men accused of covering up the killing of Robert Wone, there’s been much discussion about Michael Price, the brother of one of the defendants.
Prosecutors have sought to raise suspicion about Price, through witness testimony that he had a key to the Dupont Circle townhouse where Wone was killed and had missed a class he regularly attended the night of Wone’s death, Aug. 2, 2006. They also theorized that Price was the perpetrator, giving his brother, Joseph Price, and co-defendants Dylan Ward and Victory Zaborsky motive for the cover-up.
In a motion seeking to exclude testimony about Michael Price — which D.C. Superior Court Judge Lynn Leibovitz denied last week — the defense outlines where Michael Price was the night of Aug. 2, 2006.
According to the document, Price was at the home of his nephews and their mother that afternoon, and stayed later than planned. Because he would have to miss the beginning of his phlebotomy class at Montgomery College, he decided to skip the class, the document said.
Price returned home and spent the night eating dinner and watching television with his partner, Lewis Hinton, the document said.
The motion is available here as a PDF, posted online by the Who Murdered Robert Wone? blog.
