Social media backlash erupted Monday morning over Apple adding a “pregnant man” emoji in its latest iPhone update.
In addition to the “pregnant man,” Apple added other gender-neutral emoji icons, including a “person with crown.” While a previous update made the emojis optional, the iOS 15.4 update sent the new emojis to all users.
“This is NOT a ‘pregnant man’ emoji,” Twitter user @StringfellowH14 wrote. “It’s a ‘wokie-woke Democrat’ emoji. A perfect way to symbolize contempt for God and nature?”

Other Twitter users poked at overweight men.
“A ‘pregnant man’ or are you ‘fat shaming’?” Thomas Rossini tweeted.

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld sarcastically praised the emoji when it was first made available, saying the emoji does not discriminate against men with beer guts.
Others argued it is flipping a liberal narrative.
“Well done, we’ve come SO far as a human race,” Adel Meyer wrote on Twitter. “I’m ecstatic about this update, it truly is a man’s world.”
