The National PTA will discuss kids’ Internet practices at Thursday’s Family Online Safety Institute Conference.
Charles Saylors, president of the National PTA (Parent-Teacher Association), will join a panel on Kids in the Time of Internet — more formally known as “Digital Citizenship: Safety, literacy, and ethics for life in a digital world.”
“We need a voice of millions working together in partnership with other caring adults in order to make cyberspace safe for our kids,” Saylors said.
The PTA has previously partnered with Facebook to start the “Campaign for Children’s Internet Citizenship, Safety, and Privacy.”
The Family Online Safety Institute, whose members include AOL, Microsoft, Facebook, Google, and many more, focuses on making the online world safer for children with an eye on free speech.
