Renasant boosting Tupelo data center 37000 sq ft

TUPELO, Miss. (AP) — Renasant Bank’s parent company has bought a 37,000-square-foot building for warehouse and office space.

Renasant Corp. vice president of external affairs John Oxford says the bank has doubled in the past decade.

He says it used to be a $2.2 billion bank with 58 locations in Mississippi. Now, says Oxford, it’s worth $5.8 billion and has 124 locations for banking, insurance and financial services in Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.

Oxford tells The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/1woIPJ5 ) that the former Great Homes Design Center includes 25,000 feet of warehouse space and 12,000 square feet of office space.

He says it will let Renasant expand its data center and disaster recovery abilities, as well as storage and record retention, with room for future growth.
