Rosie O’Donnell accuses Trump of being ‘the leading cause of death in the United States’

Actress and noted-Trump critic Rosie O’Donnell tore into the president, appearing to accuse him of being the reason why so many people have died from the coronavirus in the United States.

In a Wednesday night tweet, the comedian declared Trump the “leading cause of death in the United States,” while adding the hashtags #AmericaOrTrump, #StopTrump, and #StopTrumpsGestapo.

Although O’Donnell made no mention of the coronavirus, she was likely referring to the highly-contagious disease that has killed more than 140,000 people in the U.S. since March. Her tweet cut a similar tone to that of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who called the coronavirus the “Trump virus” earlier this week.

O’Donnell, who was featured heavily in then-candidate Donald Trump’s first Republican debate, has spent the past four years ripping into the president on social media. She shared an image of a masked protester with her fist raised as a federal agent wearing a “Make America Great Again” helmet stood behind her holding a gun.
