Some voting sites in New Jersey were struggling Tuesday with technical and scheduling issues as the Garden State’s gubernatorial race drew voters to the polls.
Voters in Jersey City reported issues including precincts not opening on time and an assortment of technical glitches on voting machines in the city and throughout Hudson County.

The Modera Lofts polling location in Ward E was closed for three hours after the designated state opening time of 6 a.m.
“This delay was unacceptable, and we will get to the bottom of why it happened after the election,” tweeted Ward E Councilmember James Solomon.
At least two other locations delayed their openings by an hour, sources told the Hudson County View. Voting machines were also not working, the outlet reported.
“The county is going to have to look at the possibility of getting new equipment,” Hudson County Clerk E. Junior Maldonado said.
