Plans for new landfill aren’t expected to advance

NEW HAVEN, Mich. (AP) — Plans for a new landfill in Michigan that drew heated opposition aren’t expected to move forward at this time.

Rizzo Environmental Services last year said it wanted to open the landfill in the New Haven area of Macomb County, about 30 miles northeast of Detroit.
