A Fairfax County search and rescue team that has been helping with the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts is returning to the United States.
WTOP reports that Fairfax County Urban Search and Rescue is scheduled to arrive at Dulles International Airport at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
The team was in Japan for about a week and worked in the city of Ofunato.
Fairfax team members also assisted with the rescue efforts after the earthquake in Haiti last year.
