The debate over what, if anything, the United States should do regarding Syria, and the crossing of the “red line,” continues. Some of the support for action is coming from some surprising places. Nancy Pelosi, for instance, stated that:
“It is clear that the American people are weary of war. However, Assad gassing his own people is an issue of our national security, regional stability and global security.”
And, according to Jonathan Allen and Jake Sherman, writing in Politico on the administration’s briefing of members of Congress:
