Coronavirus relief package contains tens of millions for ‘gender’ and ‘democracy programs’ in Pakistan

The recently agreed-upon coronavirus aid and 2021 government spending package contains tens of millions of dollars allocated for “gender” and “democracy” programs in Pakistan.

The $2.5 trillion bill, which combines $900 billion of coronavirus relief with $1.4 trillion in spending, includes 10 million taxpayer dollars going to “gender programs” and $15 million for “democracy programs” in Pakistan.

Many conservatives on Twitter immediately rejected the notion that foreign aid and “gender programs” in other countries should be prioritized in the nearly 6,000 pages of legislation with so many U.S. citizens out of work and losing their businesses due to pandemic lockdowns.

“I predict the day our country’s finances collapse, we will still be funding ‘gender programs in Pakistan,’” Republican Rep. Thomas Massie tweeted. “Tonight’s COVID relief/stimulus bill has no less than $10 million for said programs attached to it.”

“Congress should get the economy open in America before getting gender programs funded in Pakistan,” Massie’s Republican colleague, Rep. Matt Gaetz, tweeted in response. “The Uniparty that writes these bills is America Last to the core.”

“The Covid stimulus package includes $10 million for ‘gender programs’ in Pakistan,” Trump adviser Jason Meister tweeted. “$600 for you.”

Some have even called on President Trump to veto the bill over the unnecessary spending and cronyism that comes along with it.

“The ‘stimulus’ bill is an abomination,” Federalist co-founder Sean Davis tweeted. “Trump should veto it. Congress is stealing $2,700 per American to send $600 to every American, then demanding that you thank them for the privilege of getting robbed. As Twain said, the only native criminal class in America is Congress.”
