Former UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage will attend the Republican convention in Cleveland next week, according to multiple reports.
“Having criticized President Obama for getting involved in British politics, I am not about to endorse anybody,” Farage told USA Today on Tuesday. “But I do know a lot of people in the Republican Party, and I’ll be interested to hear what Donald Trump has to say in his big speech.”
The British politician, who was a leader in the bid for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, would not say who invited him to the event since he is not a U.S. delegate, but confirmed it was not Trump, who supported Brexit.
