NASA astronaut Christina Koch’s dog couldn’t contain her excitement upon the astronaut’s return home after nearly a year in space.
Koch shared a video of the excited canine pawing at the door and ferociously wagging her tail as the astronaut walked up to the house.
“Not sure who was more excited,” Koch tweeted. “Glad she remembers me after a year!”

Koch said her dog, LBD, short for little brown dog, was adopted from a shelter and “couldn’t be sweeter.”
“And yes, she was very excited, I was very excited, I’m not sure who was more excited! … You know it’s just a symbol of coming back to the people and places that you love, to see your favorite animal,” she told CBS News.
Koch returned to Earth a week ago after 328 days in space, setting a record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman.
During her time on the International Space Station, she participated in six spacewalks, including the first performed solely by women.
