On Wednesday morning, President Obama announced his nomination of Merrick B. Garland to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Garland is currently the chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stands by his decision not to consider Garland in the Senate, invoking what he calls the “Biden rule.”
