Donald Trump says China should keep the U.S. Navy drone the country “stole.”
“We should tell China that we don’t want the drone they stole back,” Trump tweeted Saturday night. “Let them keep it!”

Trump’s tweet comes hours after the Pentagon announced China would return the underwater drone it intercepted in international waters in the South China Sea.
China took the unmanned underwater vehicle on Thursday near the Philippines just as an American survey ship was about to retrieve it.
The president-elect fired off a tweet early Saturday calling the act “unprecedented.”

Trump spokesman Jason Miller suggested the president-elect was responsible for China’s decision to give back the drone.
“@realdonaldtrump gets it done: China says it will return US drone it seized,” he wrote on Twitter.
