President Trump had some choice words for G-7 leaders critical of his policies during last weekend’s private meeting.
A top EU official told the Wall Street Journal that Trump lashed out at the European leaders for their lenient attitudes toward immigration. He then suggested to Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe that he might have more issues in his nation if Japan’s immigration and refugee laws weren’t so strict.

“Shinzo, you don’t have this problem,” Trump reportedly said. “But I can send you 25 million Mexicans and you’ll be out of office very soon.”
Trump later criticized France’s immigration policy during a discussion on terrorism and Iran, telling French President Emmanuel Macron that “all the terrorists are in Paris.”
The EU official noted that there was an overall spirit of irritation in the room, yet those attending the meeting “tried to be rational and calm.”
Today, the president described media outlets that reported he “did not get along” with the other G-7 leaders as “Fake News” on Twitter.
