Donald Trump indicted: Former president boards plane to New York for arraignment

Former President Donald Trump departed from Florida on Monday afternoon, boarding his plane at Palm Beach International Airport to head to New York City, where he is expected to turn himself in to authorities on Tuesday.

Trump’s signature plane, nicknamed “Trump Force One,” with his name emblazoned in capital, bold letters across the fuselage, was seen on standby for much of Monday morning. He departed Mar-a-Lago in a large motorcade.

His supporters were seen lining up along the route of his motorcade on his way to the airport, where they expressed support.


Trump sent several Truth Social posts about his flight, beginning with, “HEADING TO NEW YORK. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

He followed the post up a few minutes later, writing, “WITCH HUNT, as our once great Country is going to HELL!”

Trump’s supporters have also gathered in New York City ahead of his expected arraignment. High-profile figures, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), have signaled their intention to protest the indictment on Tuesday.

Trump was indicted last week by a Manhattan grand jury in connection to an investigation regarding alleged hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016. Republicans have come out largely against the indictment, portraying it as politically motivated persecution. Trump has repeatedly decried the investigation as a “witch hunt.”
