President Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan pulled Republicans’ healthcare legislation on Friday, but Democrats are already looking to weaponize the failed bill against the GOP.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching new ads targeting Republicans in Congress who voted for the doomed legislation as it passed through committees, according to NBC News.
The ads, titled “Truth,” show Fox News anchors calling the healthcare legislation unaffordable before showing a Republican who voted for the bill in committee.
While Republicans’ failed healthcare effort may still haunt them at the ballot box, President Trump tweeted Saturday that Americans need not worry because Obamacare will soon “explode.”
