President Trump on Wednesday congratulated his son Donald Trump Jr. for how he carried himself during a Tuesday interview about his role in a July 2016 meeting with a Russian government-affiliated attorney.
“My son Donald did a good job last night. He was open, transparent and innocent. This is the greatest Witch Hunt in political history. Sad!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

Trump’s eldest son, who currently runs the Trump Organization with his brother Eric, released four pages of emails Tuesday detailing how he communicated with Rob Goldstone to set up the meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya.

Trump also scorned reporters for using unnamed sources in stories, attempting to further discredit the media.
“Remember, when you hear the words “sources say” from the Fake Media, often times those sources are made up and do not exist,” Trump wrote Wednesday.

He also claimed progress on key issues related to his campaign promises.
“ISIS is on the run & will soon be wiped out of Syria & Iraq, illegal border crossings are way down (75%) & MS 13 gangs are being removed,” Trump added.
Later on, Trump sought to reassure everyone that the White House is functioning and he barely watches television.
“The W.H. is functioning perfectly, focused on HealthCare, Tax Cuts/Reform & many other things. I have very little time for watching T.V.,” Trump tweeted.
