A captain for the D.C. Fire and EMS Department has been arrested on charges related to possession of drugs and firearms.
According to police, Capt. Brian Michael Grace was arrested Wednesday night in Fairfax County, Va., and received three drug charges. Those charges include possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or distribute, as well as two weapons charges.
Grace, from Centreville, Md., has been with the department since 2000. He has been placed on administrative leave.
“DC Fire and EMS is aware of the arrest of Captain Brian Grace last night by law enforcement officials in Northern Virginia related to drug and firearms charges. Captain Grace has been with the Department since January 2000. Captain Grace has been placed on administrative leave by the Department,” the department said in a statement.
According to a report, he was arrested following a narcotics investigation. When arrested, he was in possession of multiple types of narcotics, either Schedule 1 or Schedule 2.
