President Joe Biden bristled at a question from Fox News’s Peter Doocy about recent congressional testimony from Devon Archer, a former business associate of Hunter Biden.
Archer testified before Congress in July that the younger Biden sold prospective business partners on an “illusion” of access to the elder Biden when he was vice president. Archer also claimed that on multiple occasions, Joe Biden sat in on business calls with his son despite the president’s past statements that he was never involved in Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

The president is currently in the middle of a tour of Western states touting “Bidenomics.” He will travel to Utah on Wednesday night after visiting Arizona and New Mexico earlier in the week.
Following the conclusion of Biden’s final event in New Mexico on Wednesday, Doocy posed to the president that “there’s this testimony now where one of your son’s former business associates is claiming that you were on speaker phone a lot talking business.”
“I never talked business,” the president responded to Doocy. “I knew you’d have a lousy question.”
“Because it isn’t true,” he added when asked about Joe Biden’s initial response.

Until Wednesday, Joe Biden had not yet addressed Archer’s testimony. White House officials, including press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, routinely direct questions about Hunter Biden’s business dealings to the Justice Department.
Jean-Pierre has also told reporters that Joe Biden stands by his past statements regarding his son’s business.
